The Lotus Path: Workshops Connect Participants To Their “higher Self”

Great teachings are no longer hidden from view. You don’t have to travel to India or to a remote location anymore. A case in point is the Lotus Path Workshops which are now represented on the Internet by a new website: http://www.lotuspath.org

The Lotus Path Workshops are the brainchild of Betty Malicoat, who gained renown for her creative and innovative methods while teaching English at Fresno State University before going on to creating the Lotus Path Workshops.

The daughter of a vaudeville dancing mother, and a mystical father, Betty has combined artistic creativity and deep spirituality in a series of workshops that are designed to “connect to the higher self and work with divine energy.”

Betty’s childhood was steeped in spirituality and mysticism thanks to her father, Joe Miller. Miller was a Theosophist and was famous for his spiritual walks in Golden Gate Park which sometimes attracted several hundred participants.

The current Lotus Path workshops combine the teachings of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Hawaiian Shamanism along with Betty’s creative teaching methods. The idea of the workshops is to help a person reach his or her higher self by purifying chakras (the psycho-spiritual centers of energy situated on the spinal column), by activating the senses, and by using creativity.

The workshops are of several kinds. For those people who do not have much time there are the one session “Traveler” workshops. This workshop helps the participant to “turn the mind on the Self” and to understand how past events shape the present.

A more elaborate workshop is “The Journey: Spiritual Autobiography” This is a six session workshop that can be done on consecutive days, weekend or even during the course of one year. The aim of this workshop is to help participants remember their path, to meet themselves and to define their purpose in life.

Another popular workshop is “The Tribal: Playing with Chi”, designed for couples and small groups who want a true sensory experience that shifts consciousness and frees wisdom.

The most advanced workshop is “The Quest: Shaman’s Cave”: A three session workshop for students who want to know their higher self. The three sessions have to be completed within one week, and are open to those who have participated in the Journey or The Tribal workshops.

The workshops are conducted in the Sierra foothills of California between Fresno and Yosemite. Reservations can be made by calling (559) 658-7742 or by visiting the website, where local lodging suggestions are also provided.

Many people combine sessions at the Lotus Path along with visits to Yosemite and report that the workshops add a special dimension to their vacations.

If you would like to really know who you are and to connect with your higher self visit the new Lotus Path website or call for more information.

Success Is An Open Book Test Secrets, Strategies And Shortcuts To Reaching Exponential Success

We know many of the things we should be doing to be happier, to be more physically fit and to be more financially secure. We know we should set our goals, manage our time, and spend more time with our families, exercise, eat right, work hard, sleep more and have a positive mental attitude. We want to accomplish great feats and to be the best at what we do. And we want it all now.

Why are some people super-successful, while others dwell in mediocrity? Ask almost anyone out there, and I bet they’ll say they want more out of life. They want to be better, to accomplish more or to pursue those buried and forgotten goals. So, why do so many of us fall short of achieving our dreams? We all want success. We all want to be happy. We all want to be self-disciplined and fulfill our wildest dreams. In fact, we don’t just want success; we want massive success.

So, why aren’t we doing these things? The desire is there, right? Does it ever seem beyond your reach? The good news is that if you really want success, you can have it. Success is an open book test in which the answers are right in front of you if you know where to look for them. Everyone has enormous potential. You were designed for greatness. There is something you are predestined to accomplish. Let’s start on your success today. Don’t procrastinate any longer. When you take a look at your life, know that there are no do-overs, reset buttons or mulligans. This is it, so it’s time to make it happen. No longer will you stick your big toe in the pool of success; it’s time to jump in.

We all deserve and desire to be happy, to be truly successful and to have an enjoyable life. We were put on this Earth to be happy. Rather than fretting over the future, you need to enjoy life’s journey and know what it takes to achieve success and happiness. Things will not change with hope and desire alone, although they are great starting points. You also need to take action. You need to have a plan in mind and take control of your life. We all have to find that winning edge that will propel us to the top and help us achieve the things we know we are capable of accomplishing. In this chapter, we are going to take your dreams and desires and turn them into reality.

Remember the open book tests in school and how we could look up the answers?
The answers were there, right in front of us; we just had to be willing to go to the source to find the answer. Metaphorically speaking, all of the amazingly successful people in the world are constantly leaving behind clues or answers like an open book that can help anyone become extremely successful. I refer to the polished mastery of these combined skills as the “Exponential Factor.” When you have the Exponential Factor, your potential for success skyrockets to unlimited heights. As the name suggests, your possibilities for success and greatness become exponential.

Life is a fantastic game. We can spend our time either training and winning or waiting in the bleachers of life, watching and wishing we were on the field doing the things we really know we can and want to do. You are in charge of your life. How you live is your decision and yours alone. You can make excuses and rationalize all day why you are not on the field, but until you decide you want to be in the game, that you want to enjoy the victories as well as suffer the bruises and defeats, you will not be happy or reach the success you know you deserve or are capable of achieving.

THE PROBLEMS AND PITFALLS

There are many quick fixes that create excitement and motivation, ones that work for a few days or even months, but eventually after that initial euphoric feeling wears off, we are back to square one. We are back to wanting and wishing, but with no results. Why, after all the flashy seminars and conferences and CDs, are we still only temporarily motivated? Why have we still not arrived at the destination we call success? What is taking us so long? Motivation and personal development is a billion-dollar industry, and it only continues to grow each year. Thousands of books and lectures exist on the topics of success and personal development. They’re all telling us what we want to hear, but where are the lasting long-term results? Why, after so much invested time, is it always back to our warm comfort zone?

I have often wondered why, even in the midst of best intentions, excitement declines and persistence deteriorates. Even the endeavors that are most meaningful to us seem to get lost in the distance when we are confronted by life’s daily setbacks, hassles and frustrations. All too often, the path to success, at times so clearly defined, begins to get blurry again. But lack of long-term success goes much deeper than daily setbacks, hassles and frustrations. Take time to examine where all the detours come from: the self-doubt, the self-sabotage, the nagging, the negative inner voice and the inability to stick to the things you know you should be doing. Sometimes, our lack of persistence stems from the fact that the required behavior is not part of our customary pattern. Other times, it’s because we’re not doing it for the right reasons or in the right way. Sometimes, it’s because we’re trying to treat the surface problem or behavior rather than the underlying issue it stems from. That is, we’re treating the symptoms instead of the disease. It is like trying to get off a car stuck on cruise control.

Whatever the reasons may be, you can’t keep waiting around Are you waiting for a terrible experience to make you change your ways? Are you hoping for a miracle, the lottery or Publisher’s Clearinghouse to change your life? I want to show you how to get started now. This is not just another motivational attempt. These concepts will change your life, will supercharge your success and will bring you happiness. Now it is time to give yourself permission to win.

Have Your Cake and Eat it Too Triumphing over Mediocrity

Are you tired of the same old existence? Do you want more out of life than what life seems to be handing you? You can rise above mediocrity but you must first change your mindset.

To begin, you must have a keen desire for change in your life. You must know what you want, even if you don’t yet know how to get it. Be definitive in your desire. If you only had a short time to live, what would you really want to see, experience and do? Manifest clearly in your mind what you want or need.

Concentrate your energy and thoughts about your desire on the here and now, and not on the past or future. Embrace the present and let tomorrow take care of itself.

Be patient and let go of any anxiety, disbelief and doubt. Expect and believe that you have your desire already.

Get charged up emotionally about your desire. Don’t just visualize it; feel it. The more you’re enthused, excited and charged up about your desire, the faster you’ll have it.

Daily, affirm to yourself what you want. An “affirmation” is “a solemn and formal declaration.” Believe that you will get what you affirm you want.

Clear your mind of any and all negative thoughts. Negativity leads to mediocrity. Stay focused in a positive way at all times on your desire.

Believe in yourself. A belief is a thought, which is a kind of energy. Your beliefs have a great influence on you (and others around you) and can work for or against you. Recognize and get rid of limiting beliefs that don’t serve you. Retain those beliefs that bring contentment and quality to your life.

Stay focused on your desire. The more you visualize, feel, believe and affirm your desire, the more real it will become. The more you focus on what you want, the more your thoughts will help produce that desire at some point in the future.

Clearly set your intentions. An “intention” is “an anticipated outcome that guides your planned actions.” A realized goal or desire is the result of your intentions.

As attributed to Lisa Diane, a well-know inspirational leader, to get that which you desire, you must have it (in your mind), think it (your thoughts form your perceptions which form your reality), speak it (speak only positive thoughts about it), and act on it.

If you intently follow the above, you will attract those people, things, and circumstances that will bring about your desire. You will be a better person for it, and you will have what you want.

Achieving Your Goal

Most marathons provide more than their fair share of heroes and heroines who provide great examples. The London Marathon in April 2005 provided one or two especially heroic examples. The competitors have much to teach about achieving goals.

On Sunday 17th April 2005, Paula Radcliffe was running in the London Marathon and had to stop for a call of nature. Instead of running off the course and possibly losing the race, she decided to answer the call close to a drinks table at the side of the road.

She knew that this might well be filmed and broadcast to millions but was determined not to stop for longer than necessary. I am more impressed by her answering the call of nature in public than by the fact that she won the marathon. Her priority was to win and not to save herself embarrassment. Her sheer guts and determination have never been more obvious.

Some really ignorant person wrote in to complain that Paula’s behaviour was disgusting. She clearly had no idea what running a marathon can do to your body. The organiser offered the critic a place in next year’s marathon to provide a chance to find out!

Paula stopped 5 miles from the end of the race and squatted on the ground. She had endured stomach cramps for several miles before that and was losing 10 seconds every time her stomach cramped up.

Later, after she had won the Flora London Marathon in 2hrs 17 min 42 sec, a world record for a women-only race, she apologized for having to relieve herself in the street. She was embarrassed but was also smiling because she had achieved her goal of winning the race.

She commented: “I’ve got to apologize to the nation for having to stop but I was losing 10 seconds every time my stomach cramped up. I didn’t know how far I was ahead but I felt I just had to stop.”

In fact, Paula had more than a two-minute lead over Constantina Dita, of Romania. Paula had joked about finding one of the 950 Portaloos. “That would have been OK but I would probably have had to fight my way through the crowd and then sign a couple of autographs on the way out.” That could have taken at least two minutes and stopped her achieving her goal.

“I was annoyed because I was feeling good and looking forward to running faster in the second half of the race,” she said. “But my stomach got so bad I thought, why not stop, and then I would be able to concentrate on running properly again.”

In 1985, another top runner had felt compelled to take a toilet stop in London. Steve Jones relieved himself behind a sentry box at the Tower of London before going on to beat Charlie Spedding in the 1985 race.

However, he at least had some decent cover available and so I would not rate him in the same class as Paula!

Paula’s mind was focused firmly on the goal of winning:

“The main thing was to win the race – when you are in a race all you think about is getting to the line first and that’s what I had to do. Everyone is paranoid about it. You try to eat as plain food as possible but you can’t get much plainer than plain pasta. It’s the first time it has happened to me in a race.”

The organizer tried to shed light on the loo situation: “We had every single Portaloo in the country around the start, finish and along the way. The route is lined with houses and pubs so for the average person it’s not going to be a problem but there is no way that’s an answer for someone running at the speed of Paula.”

Paula’s call of nature has provided the world with an inspiring example of the kind of determination that might be necessary to achieve a big goal.

Clare Forbes, 10 years younger than Paula at the age of 21, provided another example of ferocious determination. She took 19 hrs and 10 mins together with a 3 hour break to cross the finishing line.

She was moving on artificial legs. 4 years ago she had suffered from meningitis. It was uncertain whether she would ever walk again. She entered the marathon on behalf of the Meningitis Trust to raise money to help sufferers. She must also have inspired many other people with artificial limbs to realize what can be achieved with courage and determination.

Are You Able To Control Your Circumstances?

Well….

Are you?

Do you feel completely in control of your life, totally happy and fulfilled?

Or, like the majority of people are you unhappy about significant parts of your life?

The truth is you can control your circumstances and how you feel and act in response to your surroundings.

One of the key messages from Stephen R Covey’s book “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People” is that you are “response-able”. You are not like a moth flying into a candle flame because it cannot change the way it responds to the stimulus of the light from the candle.

As a human you are able to choose how you respond to your surroundings, to other people, to your circumstances. There is a gap between the stimulus from your senses and your response to that stimulus. In that gap you can make a vital choice your response!

For many people this realization is a powerful and liberating thought that helps overcome very difficult life circumstances loss of a job, a close relative, terminal illness…

Prisoners suffering terrible torture with no means of regaining their liberty have still found freedom in the knowledge that there is one thing that cannot be taken away from them their freedom to choose how they respond to their circumstances.

REACTIVE PEOPLE EMPOWER THE NEGATIVE CIRCUMSTANCES IN THEIR WORLD TO CONTROL THEM

“Response-ability” goes further than that we are responsible for exercising the choice, for being proactive.

People who abdicate this choice, who let their physical surroundings, the opinions of others, their current circumstances control their responses are living in re-active mode.

To break out of this vicious circle, you need to subordinate your impulse to respond instinctively. You need to examine your values, what you consider to be important, before choosing your response.

BEING PROACTIVE IS NOT BEING IN DENIAL

Being proactive should not be confused with the kind of positive thinking where you tell yourself that everything is ok even when you are about to go broke or your spouse is about to leave you. Being proactive is not the same as being pushy and obnoxious.

It is just that when you are proactive, you are not controlled by your circumstances, you are free to choose how you react. You can choose to go with the flow and let circumstances control your response if you judge that to be the best thing to do, you can choose to stand up and make a difference, you can choose to look for a win-win result…

MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION TODAY

How do you respond to your surroundings, to other people, to circumstances? Are there times when you know you are failing to overcome your impulses…

Do find There’s someone who always makes you angry, you can’t resist eating that enticing little snack, you feel overwhelmed by your finances?

Stop!!! Don’t just react blindly. Ask yourself “what is the best way for me to respond here, what will produce the best results?”…

… And make that choice!!! Start living a proactive life today!!!

Take Ownership Of Your Issues

Q. What happens when we keep “passing the buck” and blaming others for our own errors and shortcomings?

We get a reputation as a shirker a liability who won’t accept being made accountable. Not only does this do us no favours at all in the eyes of others, it also means we’re less likely to learn from the incident because we’ve already convinced ourselves it’s somebody else’s “fault.” The solution? To take ownership of the incident and make amends in the best possible way.

Q. Are You?

– Honest Enough To Admit You’re Often “Passing The Buck”?
– Losing Trust And Respect As A Result?
– Determined Instead To Take Ownership?

Begin making the transformation today!

Q. What’s In It For You?

– Learn How To Turn All Such Negatives Into Positives
– Gain Newfound Trust And Respect From Self And Others
– Watch As Your Life And Opportunities Expand

Only by taking ownership in this way do we give ourselves the chance to learn and progress and make a difference. If we don’t then we remain as we are motionless, dismissive and devoid of respect. Seeing it from this perspective, we realise there really is only one way forward to refrain from blaming our environment (family, friends, colleagues, etc) and instead take absolute ownership of all that we do.

How do we achieve this? Simple we start by being honest with ourselves and progress to becoming honest with those around us. Once in this habit, we open our lives to positive change and notice it rippling out into our environment. Most importantly, we develop trust and respect within ourselves and from others. Result our integrity comes to the fore and our relationships and opportunities expand it’s as simple as that.

INQUIRY: Take a look back over the last few weeks at the number of occasions where you “passed the buck” instead of taking ownership. What made you do that? What could you have done differently?

ACTION: For the next thirty days, take ownership of your errors and shortcomings. Act with integrity and be honest with yourself and others. Notice how much better you feel and the difference you’re able to make. Stretch yourself a little more each day.

Make A Habit Of Taking Ownership Of Your “Issues”

Best wishes

Deal With Pornography Addiction

What is the key cause for people to get addicted to pornography? Is it loneliness, or the want to be loved with passion? Does it begin with exploring, is it lust or is it the whetstone for a warped mind? Well different people have different views about watching too much of porn and strangely pornography is the largest on-line business with the most number of Internet searches going out to the porn industry.

Some people just think its time to pass, while on the other hand it is fun and exciting for some. And then there are those, who look for every opportunity to watch porn, whether in secrecy or in a blatantly unreserved manner.

Pornographic addiction can also be because of too much sex activities in ones life or the total lack of it. Pornography addiction is just like somebody craving to have a cigarette. Some people watch porn simply for the sake of watching; others do it to excite themselves. There are people addicted to pornography because they want to imitate every act in their own sexual lives and there are even those who do it because of depression.

Most of the people might not even know if they are addicted to it or not, because watching too much of porn becomes their habit and they feel as if their life revolves around it. However, such people do not realize that it can also become dangerous for them in a way. They might not realize that having such a kind of addiction can have negative consequences in their lives. They might just start to neglect their responsibilities towards their work, or might also land up in embarrassing situations at work or a college campus.

Pornography can also cause problems in relationships such as creating an emotional distance with the one you love. People may also lose a relationship due to this. But have you ever wondered is there a cure for it? Can people actually get out of this addiction or not? Yes there is a way of overcoming pornography addiction. People can make a list about the positives and negatives of watching too much of porn, and what are their views about it. What is it that is making them do this? They should start spending more time with their family and friends and not stay alone for a long time. Self-analysis is important to help you rid your inner evils. You can seek a more pleasurable and beautiful experience from a real relationship where sexual acts have a meaning.

Busy yourself with extracurricular activities like playing table tennis or may be go for a swim, basically trying to identify what can help them relax, and at the same time enjoy the activity and feel refreshed. Most important is to find a solution as to what makes them happy about life and think positive. If a person thinks positive and accepts the challenges of life he can overcome any kind of addiction provided you have the determination and the right attitude towards life. If you find it difficult to adhere to self help disclose your problem to a close one and let them guide you. Seeking medical as well as psychological help can sometimes be necessary.

New Age Spirituality – Inspirational Stories ( Part 35 )

On another occasion in the same Fair another man gave me a push. When I asked him the reason, he also was ashamed and stammered out an apology saying, “Why do you dress that way?” The sympathies of these men were limited within the range of their own language and their own fashion of dress. Much of the oppression of powerful nations on weaker ones is caused by this prejudice. It dries up their fellow – feeling for fellow men. That very man who asked me why I did not dress as he did and wanted to ill-treat me because of my dress may have been a very good man, a good father, and a good citizen; but the kindliness of his nature died out as soon as he saw a man in a different dress. Strangers are exploited in all countries, because they do not know how to defend themselves; thus they carry home false impressions of the peoples they have seen. Sailors, soldiers, and traders behave in foreign lands in very queer ways, although they would not dream of doing so in their own country; perhaps this is why the Chinese call Europeans and Americans “foreign devils”. They could not have done this if they had met the good, the kindly sides of Western life.

Therefore the one point we ought to remember is that we should always try to see the duty of others through their own eyes, and never judge the customs of other peoples by our own standard. I am not the standard of the universe. I have to accommodate myself to the world, and not the world to me. So we see that environments change the nature of our duties, and doing the duty which is ours at any particular time is the best thing we can do in this world. Let us do that duty which is ours by birth; and when we have done that, let us do the duty which is ours by our position in life and in society. There is, however, one great danger in human nature, viz. that man never examines himself. He thinks he is quite as fit to be on the throne as the king.

Tarry with Me

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

“And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to Adam, and said to him, ‘Where are you?'” (Genesis 3:8-9)

God was accustomed to communing with Adam in the garden “in the cool of the day” (for some reason I really love that phrase). After Adam had eaten of the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, he was not so eager to take an afternoon stroll with God.

If we are reluctant to have a “one-on-one” conversation with our Creator, or with His Son, it is often due to similar thinking on our part. When we are “good”, we are eager to be in His presence–praising, worshiping and conversing. When we are “bad”, we usually are not so eager to seek Him out, nor do we really want to think about the fact that we are always with Him because of the presence of His Holy Spirit in us.

Our Great God, the “Ancient of Days” (don’t you love it?) had no beginning, is everywhere-present and is all-knowing. When God came to the Garden of Eden that day, He already knew full well what had happened. When He called, “Where are you?”, He wasn’t really hunting Adam and Eve. He called to them knowing where they were in hiding and why. God had walked and talked with Adam on many previous occasions “in the cool of the day.” (I couldn’t resist again.) But this day’s walk would be like no other before.

The fellowship had been broken. Adam had placed another god before his Creator. He had listened to and believed his enemy and had placed himself on the throne; in charge of his own life. There would be no more walks in the garden; no more close communion of God with Man, with few exceptions, until Jesus came. Man would have no chance for true intimacy with God until the second Adam, Jesus, came and made it possible for Man to have a restored relationship with Him.

Now that Jesus has come; now that we have accepted his sacrifice as payment for our sin condition; now that we have accepted Him as Savior and Lord, and now that we are indwelt by the Holy Spirit of God Himself, our relationship with Him has been restored. We are the prodigal son and our Father has welcomed us back into the family. We have Jesus’ promise that He will never forsake us nor leave us again. Yes, we have a restored relationship, but we may not be having true fellowship with Him unless we are sincerely seeking it.

Before Jesus went to the cross, He drew aside in yet another garden to deal with some serious issues with the Father.

“And they came to an olive grove called Gethsemane, and Jesus said, ‘Sit here while I go and pray.’ He took Peter, James, and John with him. He told them, ‘My soul is crushed with grief to the point of death. Stay here and watch with me.’ He went on a little farther and fell face down on the ground. He prayed that, if it were possible, the awful hour awaiting him might pass him by. ‘Abba, Father,’ he said, ‘everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will, not mine.’ Then he returned and found the disciples asleep. ‘Simon!’ he said to Peter. ‘Are you asleep? Couldn’t you stay awake and watch with me even one hour?'” (Mark 14:32-37 NLT)

Even those closest around Him were not concerned enough to be in intimate conversation with both Jesus and God as issues of eternal importance were raised. Peter, James, and John had the opportunity to witness and perhaps to partner in prayer with Jesus in His anguish. But they slept.

You and I can return to the “garden”.

We can pause during the day, draw apart, and have fellowship with the Lord. We can walk with our heavenly Father in the (yes,) “cool of the day”, which can be anytime we make a decision of our will to set time aside for communion with Him.

You and I, like Peter, James, and John after the Pentecost, have the opportunity to walk with our Heavenly Father–with the Almighty Creator of the universe; our God, who is also our Jesus, our brother (“He who has seen me has seen the Father”).

Reading the words of a man named A.W. Tozer, I was introduced to a concept called “Spiritual Aloneness”. He wrote in his book Of God and Men, “Retire from the world each day to some private spot. Stay in the secret place til the surrounding noises begin to fade out of your heart, and a sense of God’s presence envelopes you. Listen for the inward voice until you learn to recognize it.”

Tozer, of course, is talking about retiring from the world, listening, sitting still, and being silent until you begin to recognize the voice of God in your mind and heart and all other noises are shut out. I’m reminded of Psalm 37:7, “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him…”. Psalm 4:4 says, “Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still.”

There’s a song by–who else: Watermark–called The Purest Place. It expresses the desire of one to draw near and stay near the Lord and the request of Him to “do what it takes to keep me here in the center of Your heart”. I won’t write the lyrics to the entire song but make reference to only one line which struck me: “The purest place is You, my King.”

Think about that. One of the attributes of our Creator is that He is everywhere-present. He is not IN some place; He IS the place! His name is “I AM”. If you will, I’d suggest that you pause a moment and consider that. God is in you and you are in God. Take just a moment to experience Him right now.

The song that brought about all of this letter to me was not a song by Watermark, or even another great contemporary Christian song. This song was written in 1913 by a man named C. Austin Miles:

“I come to the garden alone,
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses

And He walks with me and He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known.

He speaks, and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing

I’d stay in the garden with Him
Though the night around me be falling
But He bids me go; through the voice of woe
His voice to me is calling”

Look at the first verse. The word disclose means to open up or expose to view. In Jesus, the Son of God, the Father is disclosed to us. (Remember, “he who has seen Me…”?) God reveals His being and His nature to us when we are “in Him.”

In the third verse, I reluctantly leave His side. He bids me go because I must return to the active life. Through the voice of woe–the grief, regret, and sorrow to which I am subject in the world, I hear Him calling to me. Though the night is falling, He remains with me.

And finally, in the refrain is the word tarry.

Tarry. Such a great word. It isn’t used much now and hasn’t been for many years. It means: to linger in expectation; to abide or stay at a place.

You know how it was when you were dating a special someone, or how it is when you are with friends and family. The day is over; it’s time to go home. And yet, you “tarry”. You slowly say your goodbyes, maybe even while making your way to the door; how you continue talking until you reluctantly say final goodbyes and leave.

How much more so is it with our fellowship with our Heavenly Father? We long for it to go on forever, knowing that it cannot in this life, but that we will have communion that has no end when Jesus returns.

Just as Mary discovered the right thing to do was to sit at the feet of Jesus when she had the chance instead of scurrying around as her sister, Martha, did, we can also take a few moments to be in His presence in the midst of our “scurrying.”

We would all do well to remember what Jesus said to Mary’s “busy” sister, “‘My dear Martha, you are so upset over all these details! There is really only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it–and I won’t take it away from her.'” (Luke 10)

Martha was busy, tired and upset. Sometimes, so are we. But we are told:

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)

God loves us more than we can imagine. He longs to spend time with you. Find that secret place; that purest place and remember, “He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

Tarry awhile with Him in the garden each day.

Love,
Brother Bill

Flying Stars Fengshui for 2006 : Yearly Analysis & Remedies for Main Door facing South East

(Chinese Solar Year : 04.02.2006 to 03.02.2007)

Flying Stars or Fei Xing is a powerful form of Feng Shui derived from the famous Xuan Kong Fengshui. It is an Analysis of the Five Elements and Star Combinations (representing certain energy patterns) that occupy every building. Each new year these annual stars change, Qi (energy) shifts happen, bringing good and bad energy with them – thereby producing different effects.

In February 2004 all the Feng Shui Energy Patterns underwent huge transformations to the NewAge of Land Luck called Period 8 Energy Cycles. It means that a large scale evolution of the human race with completely new energy dynamics has started. The significance is that the new, vibrant energies of Period 8 impacts on the buildings differently than before and energies that were previously activated now need to be remedied, in order to reduce any bad effects from the past influences.

The Flying Stars Chart or the 9-Grid Meteor Plan for the Bing-Xu, Year of the Yang Red Fire Dog has been plotted and the effects of their energy patterns are analyzed. The analysis also contains suggested remedies/cures for reducing the impact of negative energy and recommended enhancers for increasing and improving upon the beneficial energy.

For the remedies/enhancers to be effective, they should be cleansed, energised, blessed and programmed not only for the particular individual/family but also for the specific purpose/problem. They should also be placed in the indicated location.

The direction in which your main door lies is very important to any form of Geomancy, including Fengshui & Vaastu. The primary reason for this is that the air currents and energy flow in and flow out through the mouth of the main door. Thus you receive positive energy for the year, if the main door faces a direction of auspicious stars or meteors (powerful energy bodies) and receive negative energy for the year, if the main door faces a direction of evil stars or meteors. In case negative impacts are forecast, you can simply offset the negative energy by installing the recommended remedies there. Any or all of these remedies can be reused for the coming years, the only thing is that they should be repositioned according to the new year.

Please note that the effects may be felt in varying degrees depending upon the exact compass degree of the main door.

ANNUAL FORECAST & REMEDIES FOR FLATS/HOMES/OFFICES/FACTORIES WITH MAIN DOOR FACING SOUTH EAST :

The Black Star # 2 brings you arguments, misunderstandings, disputes, gossips, stress, food poisoning and gastrointestinal problems, respiratory problems, gynaecological problems and sickness to many in the family. The womenfolk will suffer the most. Even your best neighbours will turn hostile. Hang a large sized natural, original Chinese Wou-Lou near the maindoor and in the bedroom.

Married couple will tend to have more disagreements and disharmony will prevail. Install the combined statue of Dragon & Phoenix or a pair of pink Mandarin Ducks in the bedroom. Minimise red and yellow coloured clothing, lighting, etc. inside the home. Alternatively place a Rooster figurine near the main door.

If you have a Rabbit or Dragon (according to the Chinese Astrology Zodiac Animal Signs) in your family, you may have to take special remedial measure to avoid seperation.

The Year Breaker Tsui Po which moves directly opposite to that of Tai Sui, corresponds to South East this year. This energy body too, should not be violated. Do not install any moving objects like Fish Aquariums or Water Fountains here, this year. Do not dig, construct, renovate, redecorate or repair this year near your main door. It is also not advisable to sit or sleep for extended periods, near your main door. If you do any of these to violate the Year Breaker, you will be inviting more accidents and health mishaps for your family members. If you had already started any of these work last year and would definitely have to continue to complete in this year, then hang a golden, metal Wou-Lou and a Wind Chyme near the main door.

If you have a secondary door that is not facing SE, then use it for this year. Otherwise, It is recommended to place an icon of Kuan Kung or Three Generations Dragon Head Turtle or a pair of Pi-Yau near your main door, facing SE, as even opening and closing the door is considered as “violating” the Tsui Po.

Display the “Safety Talisman for 2006” in the North West sector and carry a miniature version of it always.

Door Mat Colour for the Main Door : Grey or Blue (on the outside), with 6 I-Ching coins taped under it.

COMMON MINIMUM REMEDY FOR ALL BUILDINGS FOR 2006 :

To minimise damage due to gossiping and rumours, arguments and disputes, avoid the colours green and blue in the center of your home. Do not place any moving water features like fish aquarium or water fountains here. Display 8 red roses without thorns and leaves in the center of your home/office/building and light up a small red coloured bulb which will burn continuously, 24/7. This is applicable for all buildings, irrespective of the direction of the main doors.
