Power Inside Everyone

The most common mistake done when evaluating specific features of the person is associating strong will with a character from a movie that does impossible things, saves the world and creates an unforgettable impression on anyone watching him in action. The reality is a bit different and we realize that we are no supermen and will never become ones. Real humans usually act in accordance to their impulses and stimulus only then guided by our common sense. Our aim is not to win, to conquer or defeat. We prefer to hide behind the backs of others to avoid conflicts and get rid of unnecessary worries concerning responsibility. Someone will state that it is wonderful to live a life without worries devolving the burden upon someone else’s shoulders. But when consciousness wakes, the eternal struggle between what is right and what is easy, starts. Our life is always about “I have to” and “I want”.

Our minds are buried under the daily routine so deep that we don’t even realize what we live for. We rush to work and sit overnight with a research paper instead of getting some sleep. This is not because you want to but because you have to. Prior our life was a struggle between obligations and desires but now we don’t even observe its presence. We pushed down all our desires and are ruled by obligations that sometimes hurt you more than a knife in a stomach. On the panorama of such commonly accepted way of thinking those who have the courage to quit the much-hated job, change the life style or break the unions that are unworthy. These very people we call crazy are strong-willed persons that know the value of life. And we continue to blame them, being jealous deep inside. In every life there comes a moment when the change can break the usual lifestyle or plans that were set for the far future. This is unavoidable and we have to deal with it, otherwise there will be nothing good left of memory of you for your children. People admire those who have the nerve to resurrect a constant struggle between desire and obligation and follow the call of the heart never breathing a word about a loss they had. A strong-willed person never stops in front of the difficulty, never turns back facing hardships. Only those who have the courage and strong will to change their lives for better are worth admiration.

Why is it to admirable? A coin has two sides, as we know. On one side there is freedom, admiration, independence, satisfaction and other pleasant features that stand by strong-willed people. On the other side there are losses, rises and falls, hatred, tears and more tests you have to pass before you become successful. This is what brevity is all about. And more and more people will realize the value of choice and the life itself.
